WHO ARE WE?
At Our Timeless Threads, we believe everyone deserves to age with dignity, creativity, and connection. Founded by Maia Willow, a registered nurse passionate about elder care, we’re a community-led non-profit reimagining aged care through pre-loved fashion, creative workshops, meaningful experiences, and intergenerational connection.
From our community op shop and textile studio to high tea care planning, creative workshops, and joyful aged care experiences, everything we do is designed to restore identity, spark connection, and bring people together.
THE MAKERSPACE
A co-creative textile studio designed for making, mending, learning, healing and connecting.
From embroidery, painting and sewing to shared workshops and cups of tea, this is a welcoming “third place” where generations come together to create, share skills, and feel part of the community.
THE OP SHOP
Our community op shop gives pre-loved clothing a beautiful second life while helping fund creative workshops, aged care programs, and community connection throughout Byron Bay.

THE CREATIVE STUDIO
Casual co-working hours:
Monday-Saturday

A co-creative textile space for slowing down, making with your hands, and reconnecting through creativity.
Think embroidery, fabrics, sewing machines, shared tables, cups of tea, and beautiful conversations.
Book your own creative studio time to sew, mend, create, or simply enjoy the space at your own pace.
Creative Studio Access
✔ Casual studio use: $20 (up to 4 hours)
✔ Sewing machines, fabrics + creative materials free to use while in the space.
✔ On site Kitchenette & restroom
✔ Free creative access for elders aged 60+

Our creative workshop space is designed to bring people together through storytelling, music, creativity, and shared experiences.
Each month features new community-led creative experiences to join. Timetable for events is found within the op shop.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Hi, I’m Maia Willow. After years as a registered Nurse in aged care, I’ve seen the profound impact of clothing on dignity. Many residents endure ill-fitting, uncomfortable outfits, while care teams and families are stretched too thin to help.
Through Our Timeless Threads, we provide sustainable, stylish clothing and host joyful pop-up shops in care homes. To grow, we urgently need funds for a delivery van and operational costs.
